Barking and Dagenham is a diverse and challenging borough but also one of which we are justifiably proud.  One of the most exciting challenges is the development of The Thames Gateway, which is the largest development scheme in London and one that will increase our borough profile.

As the Borough Commander it is my intention to build quickly on the borough's past successes while refocusing our efforts and making the best use of the rescources that I have available. 

Barking and Dagenham is one of the safest boroughs in London, but we will not be complacent.  We will strive to deliver consistent crime reduction across every ward on the borough, particularly for those crimes you tell us matter the most to you.

Barking and Dagenham Police pride ourselves on being sensitive to the needs of our community.  I will ensure that we build even stronger partnerships with those working for the good of all our communities on the borough.  With the planned increase in strength of all of our Safer Neighbourhood Teams we will become more accessible and responsive to both new and established communities.  We will listen to our communities and adapt and respond to changing neighbourhood priorities.

I look forward to meeting and working with the diverse communities of the borough and to continue to strengthen our ties with all our communities.
