Appeal after stabbing in Kettering Road, Enfield


Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Enfield.

Police were called at 18.39 on Friday 05/02/10 to reports of a male found stabbed in Kettering Road, Enfield.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended and a 22 year old male was found at the location suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to a north London hospital with stab wounds to his chest, neck, face, leg and abdomen and remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Enfield CID are investigating.

The circumstances of the incident remain unclear. It is believed that the victim got into an altercation with a number of males (20 youths) prior to being stabbed.

The suspects also assaulted his dog.

The five month old staff named Tyson was beaten by the suspects and received a stab wound to his liver and is currently in a critical condition

Two black males wearing hooded tops were seen making off from the location shortly before the stabbing. They were seen to run along Ordnance Road

Two knives have been recovered by officers from the scene.

Detective Inspector Paul Burton, Enfield CID:

"This was a very nasty incident and it is a miracle that the victim is still alive. We are keeping an open mind regarding a motive. We would ask anyone who witnessed or has any information regarding this incident to come forward to help us with our investigation."
