    On Wednesday 10 March officers from Hackney's Victoria Safer Neighbourhoods team, in conjunction with the Status Dogs Unit executed a warrant issued under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 in Shafton Road, E9.

    An innovative police operation to tackle violence and anti-social behaviour in Hackney by disrupting young offenders’ movements on pedal cycles has netted 42 arrests over a four-day period. The operation is believed to have contributed to the borough’s success in reducing serious youth violence by over 30% during the month of April, compared to the same period last year.

    Officers from the North East Safer Neighbourhoods Teams in Hackney executed a drugs warrant at 4 Worsley Grove on 02/02/09, which lead to four arrests being made for possession with intent to supply cannabis and the retrieval of large amounts of herbal cannabis.

  • Man jailed for 22 years
    A 42 year old man has been jailed for a total of 22 years, having been found guilty of 23 counts of rape and sexual assault. The offences took place over a sustained ten-year period between 1988 and 1998 and were committed against the man’s former partner and two stepdaughters.

  • Laptop reunited with owner
    Hackney Police has successfully reunited a laptop with its rightful owner - a priest and member of Hackney's IAG - within 24 hours of a burglary at a church on the borough.
