Hammersmith and Fulham represents one of the most diverse and varied of London's 32 boroughs. There are many unique challenges for those who work here and a wide variety of public entertainment and sporting venues.

This is the only BOCU in the country to have two Premiership and one Championship Division football club: Chelsea FC, Fulham FC and Queens Park Rangers FC are all located here.

In addition, the borough hosts visitors to the Hammersmith Apollo, Shepherds Bush Empire and Lyric theatre venues. The annual Stella Artois Tennis Tournament each June provides another key sporting event on the borough.

When you add in two arterial roads into central London, a large Prison (Wormwood Scrubs) and two major teaching hospitals, (Hammersmith and Charing Cross), and major retail centres in Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham, you have a wonderfully varied area to police.

We are committed to making this borough safer for those who live, work and socialise here. We are also committed to giving the best possible policing service to those who call upon us for help and assistance. There will be several new and significant changes over the course of the year, which will help us to realise this ambition, including the introduction of new Safer Neighbourhoods teams.

We work in close collaboration with our partners in the Local Authority, with whom we share some challenging targets.
