Kingston-upon-ThamesWelcome MessageThe Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is situated on the southwest outskirts of London and is policed by the Metropolitan Police Service. The borough has a diverse community of approximately 150,000 residents and also attracts many thousands of visitors to the area. There is a vibrant town centre consisting of a leading regional shopping centre, leisure centre, and night time entertainment, resulting in an almost '24 hour' economy. Kingston University and College of Further Education are recognised as excellent educational facilities and together attract over 25,000 students to the area. The borough also hosts one of the country's leading theme parks, Chessington World of Adventures, which has approximately 8,000 visitors per day during the summer months. Our aim is to work in partnership with other key agencies and the community of Kingston to make The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames the safest place to live, work, visit and study in the Meteopolitan Police area. In order to achieve this aim, Kingston Police will constantly strive to improve and enhance the service we provide and the information contained in this web site will help to inform you of the work we undertake. |
