  • Dispersal Zone for Leyton Ward
    Officers from Leyton Safer Neighbourhoods Team have worked closely with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to put a dispersal zone in place that covers the Beaumont Estate.

  • Tortoise Smuggling Conviction  
    A COUPLE who attempted to smuggle endangered tortoises into the UK from Corfu have been banned from keeping reptiles for 10 years on 4 January 2010.

  • Dispersal Zone for Bakers Arms
    Officers from Forest Ward and Lea Bridge Safer Neighbourhoods Team have worked to put in place a dispersal zone in place that covers the Bakers Arms area

  • Man Charged re Chingford manslaughter  
    Barry Oliver, 29, of Littleton Avenue, Chingford was charged on Wednesday 30 December with the manslaughter of David Joslin. 

  • Waltham Forest Cadets support burglary initiative
    Over the weekend Waltham Forest Police Cadets made a very special Christmas delivery. They delivered a total of 6000 crime prevention leaflets to burglary hotspots around the borough.

  • Commendation Ceremony
    The Waltham Forest Borough Commander's Commendations ceremony took place on 10 December at the Chigwell Police Sports Club 

  • A12 temporary closure on 01 December Police were called at approx 13.30 on Tuesday 1 Dec to reports of an assault in Grove Green Rd, E11. On arrival officers discovered two people with minor injuries. As part of their inquiries officers attended a nearby address. The occupant - a man - subsequently climbed onto the roof of the address where he proceeded to throw debris, including bricks, to the ground

  • Safer Community Award for Waltham Forest
    Waltham Forest Police in Partnership with Waltham Forest Council has won the Suzy Lamplugh Trust Safer Community Award.

  • Acceptable Behaviour Agreements
    Cathall Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) have recently obtained several Acceptable Behaviour agreements on local youths on two estates on the ward.

  • Search Warrants Executed
    Markhouse Safer Neighbourghood Team (SNT), Acting Police Sergeant Carl Clarke and team executed two search warrants at addresses on the ward that were concerned in drug use and supply

  • Dispersal Order for Priory Court
    Officers from William Morris Safer Neighbourhoods Team have worked closely with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) to put a dispersal zone in place that covers the Priory Court Estate

  • Community engagement - breaking down the barriers
    During the week of the 26th October, the Police Community Engagement Team from WalthamForest who are based at Leyton Police Station organised a number of activities to take place at The Scouting Centre ,GilwellPark, Bury Road, E4.
