Man sought re burglaries

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a man wanted in connection with a series of burglaries at residential properties and hotels in the Bayswater and Mayfair areas.

Jimmy Dormer, also known as James Filan, 29, is believed to have been involved in burglaries at the following addresses: 

  • A residential property in Hyde ParkGardens, W2, on 12 January

  • A residential property in Bryanston Square, W1, on 14 January

  • Shaftesbury London Premier Hotel, 55 Westbourne Terrace, W2, on 22 January

  • Hyde Park Towers Hotel, 41-51 Inverness Terrace, W2, on 20 October 2009

Items stolen on each occasion included electrical equipment, cash and jewellery.

DS Andy Swindells of the Westminster Burglary Squad said: "These burglaries have caused much distress to the victims. We are concerned to do all we can to halt the perpetrator in their tracks. In this case I'm asking the public for their help."
