Anti-terrorism operation update
Three more suspects have been charged in connection with the anti-terrorist operation which took place earlier this month. Nabeel Hussain, Mohammed Yasar Gulzar and Mohammed Shamin Uddin have been charged with conspiracy to murder contrary to Section 1 (1) of the Criminal Law Act 1977. They are also charged with the intention of committing acts of terrorism concerning the smuggling of component parts of improvised explosive devices onto aircraft to assemble and detonate them on board contrary to Section 5 (1) of the Terrorism Act 2006 This brings the total charged to 15. Five suspects remain in custody.
